Hey everyone, this idea just popped into my head, I'd love to hear your opinions on it !

So, now , there are 600g high end keys, and 1.5K high end keys.
The only difference ( I know of ) is that the 1.5K keys drop more gold items.
Now, I got a few thousand chests openend myself, and I was wondering, wouldn't it be fun to buy like 1.5K darkstone keys ? The drops stay the same, but there's a higher chance of getting a gold item.

Just an idea...I'd love to see it happen one day ! Maybe it would make chestrunning more popular ? Thousand of chestrunners stopped running after that famous update , and that's a shame I think.

Well I chest run, and I agree, that would be pretty cool. The question is.. does anet support chest running?

Don't know why you have this idea lol! It will actually reduce the value of A LOT of Items such as Elemental Sword O,o. Each key have its own value, same for the items from that kind of chest! If anything change, I would love the noob island area keys become 600gold

So I can run chest MUCH faster now ^_^. But that's just me lol!

Keys where added to slow down chest run... making a key that makes chest in an easier area is not something I think they will do.

We'll, if they give us treasure hunter titles with 10K chests as max, I sure hope they do....

FoW is just as easy as running port sledge...still, fow has 1.5K keys, and port is stuck with those darned 600g shiverpeaks.

You do realize chest running is a HUGE money sink, so of course Anet supports it. How much do keys cost? 600-1,500g, and what is the return rate of any item you can get? ~100-400g. You do the math, that means money is flowing out of the economy, keeping inflation down. Sure rare items are getting into the economy, but that's not actual cash. Adding higher cost keys with better rare rates sounds like a great idea to help boost this money sink.

^ he's got a point. Odd as it sounds, even tho I make a profit off of chest running I'm contributing to the money sink. By upping it to 1500 this only increases that sink.

I don't really mind the chest change that happened awhile back, but it seems as though the chance of a gold dropping has been reduced dramatically as well. Whether it be in a full PuG group or full hench/hero, or solo. I may be a gold in like 8-10 chests. Real bad money sink for me heh

The droprate of 600g is at moments indeed very terrible , windowdaballa. I've had days where I got 15 purples in a row...That's just not normal. I'm willing to pay 1.5K for my keys, if I know that I'll get more golds, and at the same time, alot of money goes away.

Oh you will continue getting purple more than that! 50 in a row is possible. Why? Well if you know anything about anti farming code >_^ It does effect chest for sure HE He he.....!!! Either way, you still can not get gold items more offen >_^ Do the math! In the order word, you will end up losing money >_^
